Hi Maureen and Monica,
I am enjoying reading your blog and as a high school teacher with a largely Latino population I was hoping I could subscribe to receive updates and posts. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hello,
I wanted to drop you a line and compliment you on your website and blog. Nice layout, good tips, and an overall great resource on current events and issues of tolerance and equality as they pertain to the Latino community.
I currently work for an immigration law firm and we are interested in advertising on your site because we think it would be a great fit for us.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hello.
I wanted to help raise awareness about a tweet-chat coming up this Thursday.
I was not sure who I could reach here to invite LatinoEd Beat readers.
Please see below.
Thanks,
Edwin
Dear Educators,
On Tuesday, April 10 at 3pm, CUNY-New York State Initiative on Emergent Bilinguals will be hosting a tweet chat with NLERAP- NE. The tweet chat will explore dynamic bilingualism as conceptualized by Ofelia Garcia, co-principal investigator of NYSIEB. You can see a recent presentation by Ofelia Garcia by following the link below.
We will also discuss the way bilingualism has been discussed in the media by taking the recent New York Times op-ed “The Benefits of Bilingualism” as a point of departure.

You can find us on twitter @CUNY_NYSIEB and @LatinoEdu
I hope that you will join us!
